In the 2000s, Jean-Baptiste Leonetti directed around sixty advertising films, winning multiple awards. In 2002 he wrote and directed Le Pays Des Ours (29min). The film was awarded with the France 2 prize at the Brest Festival and seven Lutins du court-métrage.
While continuing to direct advertising films, he founded Solair Films and produced, wrote and directed his first feature film : Carré Blanc (with Sami Bouajila and Julie Gayet).
The film was awarded with the Prix du Syndicat National de La Critique and was selected at the TIFF, among others. In 2014, he directed Beyond The Reach, starring and produced by Michael Douglas. In 2022, JB co-produced, wrote and directed Tondex 2000 (28min), with Emilie Caen and Yann Bean.
