I was born in Athens Greece and studied at the London Film School (LFS) where I made 5 short films which competed in more than 30 international short film festivals. Between them they won 7 Best Film and 4 Best Director awards. Two of these shorts have since gone on to be used as examples of “High Quality and Vision” in the LFS curriculum. I returned to Greece in 2002 to direct CLOSE YOUR EYES (S02) and SUDDENLY, both High End dramas for Greece's biggest network at the time, Mega Channel. The shows were popular and kickstarted my TV career, winning between them 4 awards at the 2003 and 2004 Hellenic TV Awards including Best Director. This success enabled me to work non-stop for the next 11 years across both the High End and continuing drama platforms. Burning Heads (Greek title “To Gala”), my debut feature, was released in Greece in 2012 (Odeon). It was nominated for 11 awards by the Hellenic Film Academy including Best Director, and went on to win Best Male Actor and Best Female Actor awards at the Alexandria Film Festival (2012) as well as Best Actor and Best Film at the London Greek Film Festival (2012). In addition, it was selected to close the Los Angeles Greek Film Festival in 2012.
