Hilke Rönnfeldt is a rising film director born on the Baltic Sea coast in Northern Germany, with Danish-Icelandic roots. She graduated in screenwriting from Swedish Alma Education and honed her craft in film directing at the Super16 independent film-school collective in Copenhagen. Her recent short film, A Study of Empathy, has gained significant recognition on the international festival circuit, having won the prestigious Golden Leopard for Best Short at the 2023 Locarno Film Festival.
