Sobre Wesley Gondim

Wesley Gondim, born in 1977 in Fortaleza, Ceará, is a Brazilian director and screenwriter. His portfolio encompasses both medium and short films that explore fiction and documentary, gaining recognition and awards at festivals in Brazil and internationally.
In 2022, Gondim made his debut in the feature film scene with the documentary "Afeminadas," presented at the 55th Brasília Brazilian Cinema Festival and internationally at the renowned BFI Flare: London Film Festival, the largest LGBTIQ+ film festival in Europe. His latest work, titled "Cáustico," is a fantastic genre short film that has been circulating in festival circuits, garnering prestigious awards, including the acknowledgment for Best Art Direction at the traditional 56th Brasília Brazilian Cinema Festival.
